Leather & Vinyl Care Kit (3 Years and Older)
Clean and protect you car leather from dye transfer & abrasion damage, the only protection new leather needs. Geist 3 Plus Care Kit comes with a soft sponge for light cleaning or a leather brush for those stubborn areas.
Pigmented (non porous) leather commonly found in car leather has a coloured protective finish. Modern leather finishes are high-tech - they are elastic, wear resistant and, very importantly, air and water vapour permeable. Most high quality vinyl or PU leather imitations are also coated with protective finishes. These finishes are protected with a clear coating called a 'topcoat' which carries waxes and additives that give the surface a soft touch, prevent scratches, wear, creaking and squeaking. The elastic finish must be protected for the surface to retain its new look, soft touch and stay squeak free.

Why 3 Plus?
On average after 3 years the leather will become dryer as moisture levels drop. This can result in shrinkage and elasticity loss leading to micro cracking. With the 3 Plus leather Care Kit a penetrating conditioner can prevent such degradation. Use the Leather Conditioner to keep the moisture levels consistent and then the combination of Dye & Friction Blocker to protect against dye transfer and friction damage after cleaning.
This overall keeps your car seats looking better for longer and easier to maintain day to day. The Geist Dye & Friction Blocker has hybrid polymers that prevent dye from jeans or clothing transferring to the leather. The invisible barrier achieves this with a friction reducer but without turning the leather glossy.
What is it for?
Suitable for As the cleaner is plant based, it is suitable for leather, vinyl, artificial leather, vegan leather, fake/faux leather or pleather in all colours. (Not suitable for absorbent leather like aniline, suede or nubuck.)
How To Use:
Regular Cleaning
- Spray Rapid Cleaner on to a sponge to create a foam
- Work on the surface from seam to seam allowing it to lift the soiling from the pores for about 2-3 minutes
- Wipe off with a lint free cloth
- Spray Leather Condition onto a clean cloth and apply evenly
- Allow to soak for a few hours or overnight for best results
- Spray Dye & Friction Blocker onto a clean cloth
- Wipe evenly over the leather and allow to dry (apply after each clean)
Deep Cleaning
- Spray Rapid Cleaner on to a sponge to create a foam
- Apply to the leather
- Work in with the leather brush
- Wipe off with a lint free cloth
- Spray Leather Condition onto a clean cloth and apply evenly
- Allow to soak for a few hours or overnight for best results
- Spray Dye & Friction Blocker onto a clean cloth
- Wipe evenly over the leather and allow to dry (apply after each clean)
For stubborn stains, leave the cleaner on for longer and then scrub with the leather brush. Test a hidden area for any colour loss before any deep clean.
