Pigmented (non porous) leather commonly found in car leather has a coloured protective finish. Modern leather finishes are high-tech - they are elastic, wear resistant and, very importantly, air and water vapour permeable. Most high quality vinyl or PU leather imitations are also coated with protective finishes. These finishes are protected with a clear coating called a 'topcoat' which carries waxes and additives that give the surface a soft touch, prevent scratches, wear, creaking and squeaking. The elastic finish must be protected for the surface to retain its new look, soft touch and stay squeak free.
New leather does not need conditioning, there is already a perfect balance of moisture and oil. It is therefore imperative that you prevent this becoming unbalanced and damaged. For the first 3 years of regular use you only need to gently clean the leather and apply a protective layer to reduce friction and dye transfer. This overall keeps your car seats looking better for longer and easier to maintain day to day. The Geist Dye & Friction Blocker has hybrid polymers that prevent dye from jeans or clothing transferring to the leather. The invisible barrier achieves this with a friction reducer but without turning the leather glossy.
Suitable for As the cleaner is plant based, it is suitable for leather, vinyl, artificial leather, vegan leather, fake/faux leather or pleather in all colours. (Not suitable for absorbent leather like aniline, suede or nubuck.)

What is your return policy?
Items must be returned within 30 days in like new condition with original packaging.
To return an item, email us at sales@autobuff.com.au to receive a Return Authorisation Number and instructions. Products returned without authorisation will not be accepted.
All orders with free shipping will be charged at the standard shipping rate before a refund is issued.
If the return of a product causes the original order to fall below the free shipping threshold the remaining items and returned items will be billed for the normal shipping charges.
The cost of the returned items, minus shipping charges, will be promptly credited via the payment method used. It may take 5-7 days for your bank to process the credit.
Who pays for return shipping costs?
AutoBuff covers return shipping costs if the return is due to a manufacturing defect or as a result of our error. We will email you with instructions on how to return the product(s) to us in this situation.
Items returned for reasons other than defect or AutoBuff's error will not qualify for free return shipping. These returns include reasons such as changed my mind, did not like the product and ordered the incorrect product.
Can I exchange an item?
Yes. Please email us at sales@autobuff.com.au and let us know that you will be returning an item and what item you would like instead. We will email you a Return Authorisation Number. Upon our receipt of the returned item, we will ship out the new item. You will be credited or charged the price difference, less shipping, via the payment method used.
