GLASS COATINGS

Glass coatings repel both water and dirt from the glass surface. In rainy or night conditions, it offers invaluable assistance, as you will notice any obstacles or dangers much sooner. Once you have had a glass coating on your windscreen and watch the water just fly off as you drive you will never go back to an unprotected windscreen.

The major benefit to ceramic glass coatings is their ability to reduce surface tension on your car's windscreen. This stops water "flattening" on the surface, instead it stays as a tight droplet. A tight water droplet refracts light more evenly, so when you look through the windscreen in heavy rain the road and traffic in front of you is not distorted in any way.

The hydrophobic properties of a glass coating reduce surface tension, water will slide right off the windscreen. You may still need wiper blades at slow speeds but once up to extra-urban driving you won't need to use the wiper blades at all. A dedicated glass coating will also greatly reduce any likeliness of wiper chatter, smears and streaks when you're using them.
